UK network operators have been asked to create a new national short code, 159. This new short code will be operational on all UK dialling plans from the 01st of August. This happening in response to a request from the Global Cyber Alliance to provide a service, that gives end customers an easy to remember telephone number to contact their bank to report and manage fraud (providing that their bank is taking part in the scheme).
